🚴‍♀️ Pedals, Tunnels, and Coffee: A Ride on the Silver Comet Trail

Today wasn’t a walk — it was a ride.

We packed up the bikes and headed to the McPherson Church Trailhead in Dallas, Georgia, one of the many scenic access points along the Silver Comet Trail. If you’ve never been, this stretch of the trail is worth the trip. We rode west toward the Brushy Mountain Tunnel, a favorite feature nestled between peaceful trees and rolling terrain.

The views never disappoint — wide open skies, quiet woods, and the rhythmic hum of your tires on the path. It’s one of those rides that clears your head and fills your soul.

☕ Post-Ride Perfection at Coffee Doodle Doo

After the ride, we discovered a hidden gem of a coffee shop just down the dirt road from the trailhead — Coffee Doodle Doo. Yes, that’s really its name, and yes, it’s as charming as it sounds.

This little shop is the perfect place to unwind after a morning on the trail. I grabbed a latte and found a sunny spot to sit while the kids explored the petting zoo and play area right outside. Coffee with goats? Don’t mind if I do.

Whether you’re biking solo or bringing the family, Coffee Doodle Doo is a great reminder that the best trail stops aren’t always big chains or touristy spots — sometimes, they’re tiny places with big heart, tucked away in the Georgia pines.
